Holidays

Welcome to 2009! It has been warm and lovely, we have been on holiday and the children are waking up late! Camping was fab but the night at Oakridge in Wanaka was heaven!

Out and about today I noticed that among the summer sale items there are winter things in the shops... This is a fantastic opportunity for you to pick up a few of the summer sale bargains and start thinking about your winter wardrobe. Key basics that work well for the cooler autumn days:

• 3/4 or 7/8th pants



• 2/4 sleeve tops
  


• Layered singlets and cardys



• tunics and leggings

Remember the four steps to choosing a garment:

1. Colour first - is it warm or cool to match your skin tone
   


2. Style and fit - does it fit you, does it like you or do you just like the garment?



3. Personality - is it you, or does it just look good on your friend?



4. Lifestyle - do you need it, does it go with 3 other things you own and do you have somewhere to wear it?

Well, the first entry....

It has been such an amazing year...  My business www.flairimage.co.nz has taken off with a huge bang and I cannot believe how successful it is..  Thank you to all of you who have made, and continue to make it such a huge success...  

IT is summer and a time for all of us to embrace the warm weather and enjoy getting out there.  Many of us are suffering from what I describe as the 'arm epidemic' here in New Zealand.  We are so hung up about the little bits of skin that hang from our arms that we sit out the hot weather in sleeves and cardigans!  Believe me when I tell you that sleeveless tops are far more flattering than something with the wrong armhole on it!  Love your arms, your sleeveless tops and yourselves - we only have one chance a life and it is way to short to beat our selves up...

• Hanging out with my kids on the slopes in the winter..
